আমাদের পরিচয়
Alokito Chor একটি সামাজিক উন্নয়নমূলক ও মানবিক উদ্যোগ, যা মূলত কুড়িগ্রাম জেলার প্রান্তিক চরাঞ্চলসমূহকে কেন্দ্র করে গড়ে উঠেছে। এই জেলার বিস্তীর্ণ চরাঞ্চলে বসবাসকারী জনগোষ্ঠী প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ, দারিদ্র্য, শিক্ষা-বঞ্চনা ও কর্মসংস্থানের অভাবে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে অবহেলিত।
Alokito Chor বিশ্বাস করে—এই জনগোষ্ঠী কোনোভাবেই অক্ষম নয়; বরং সঠিক সুযোগ, দিকনির্দেশনা ও সহায়তা পেলে তারাই হতে পারে টেকসই উন্নয়নের মূল শক্তি।
আমাদের উদ্যোগের মূল লক্ষ্য হলো সামাজিক ব্যবসা ও শিক্ষার সমন্বয়ের মাধ্যমে চরাঞ্চলের মানুষের জীবনমান উন্নয়ন করা, তাদের আত্মমর্যাদা ও সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি করা এবং সমাজে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তনের পথ তৈরি করা।
কেন কুড়িগ্রামের চরাঞ্চল
কুড়িগ্রাম জেলা একটি নদীপ্রধান অঞ্চল। ব্রহ্মপুত্র, ধরলা, তিস্তা ও দুধকুমার নদীর বুকে গড়ে ওঠা চরগুলোতে বসবাসকারী মানুষের জীবন প্রতিনিয়ত ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ। নদীভাঙন, বন্যা ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের প্রভাবে এখানকার মানুষ বারবার বাস্তুচ্যুত হয়।
শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান, স্বাস্থ্যসেবা, টেকসই কর্মসংস্থান এবং আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির সুযোগ এখানে এখনও সীমিত।
Alokito Chor মনে করে, যেখানে প্রয়োজন সবচেয়ে বেশি, সেখান থেকেই কাজ শুরু হওয়া উচিত। এই বিশ্বাস থেকেই আমাদের কার্যক্রমের মূল কেন্দ্র কুড়িগ্রামের চরাঞ্চল।
আমাদের ভিশন
কুড়িগ্রাম জেলার চরাঞ্চলকে একটি স্বাবলম্বী, শিক্ষিত, সচেতন ও মর্যাদাপূর্ণ জনপদে রূপান্তর করা, যেখানে মানুষ সাহায্যপ্রার্থী নয় বরং নিজেরাই উন্নয়নের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম।
আমাদের মিশন
Alokito Chor সামাজিক ব্যবসার মাধ্যমে চরাঞ্চলের মানুষের অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষমতায়ন নিশ্চিত করতে কাজ করে।
শিশু ও তরুণদের জন্য শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করা এবং স্কুল ঝরে পড়া রোধ করা আমাদের অন্যতম অগ্রাধিকার।
নারী ও যুব সমাজকে স্বাবলম্বী করে তুলতে দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন ও উদ্যোক্তা তৈরিতে আমরা গুরুত্ব দিই।
স্থানীয় সক্ষমতা ও নেতৃত্ব গড়ে তুলে দীর্ঘমেয়াদি ও টেকসই উন্নয়ন নিশ্চিত করাই আমাদের লক্ষ্য।
আমাদের বিশ্বাস

About Alokito Chor
Introduction
Alokito Chor is a social development and humanitarian initiative primarily focused on the marginalized char communities of Kurigram district. The people living in these remote river island areas have long been deprived due to frequent natural disasters, poverty, lack of education, and limited employment opportunities.
Alokito Chor believes that these communities are not weak or incapable; rather, with the right opportunities, guidance, and support, they can become a powerful force for sustainable development.
The core objective of this initiative is to improve the quality of life of char communities through the integration of social business and education, while enhancing dignity, self-reliance, and positive social transformation.
Why the Char Areas of Kurigram
Kurigram is a river-dominated district formed by the Brahmaputra, Dharla, Teesta, and Dudhkumar rivers. Life in the char areas remains constantly at risk due to river erosion, flooding, and climate-related challenges.
Access to education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and modern digital facilities is still very limited in these regions.
Alokito Chor believes that development should begin where the need is greatest. This belief is the foundation of our focus on the char areas of Kurigram.

Alokito Chor works to ensure economic empowerment through social business initiatives.
Providing access to education for children and youth and preventing school dropouts is one of our key priorities.
We focus on empowering women and youth through skill development and entrepreneurship.
Building local capacity and leadership to ensure long-term and sustainable development remains at the heart of our mission.
